Super crunchy and very light, these are our favorite rye crackers. The recipe is so good and easy that you will want to share it with the whole world 🙂
Let’s start!
Ingredients:
- 540 g (19 oz) 100% rye flour
- 180 ml of olive oil
- 320 ml filtered or spring water at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons fine Himalayan salt
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl. You can also mix them in a home baking machine on a kneading program.
You will get a compact and firm dough, but don’t worry.
Preheat the oven to 200 C (392 F) with a fan.
Divide the dough into 5-6 parts.
Put the first part of the dough between two sheets of baking paper and roll out very thinly with the help of a rolling pin. The thinner the dough, the more crunchy the crackers will be.
Using a pizza knife, cut the dough into shapes of your choice.
Bake for 9-12 minutes, watching them, because the thin dough can burn quickly.
Repeat the above with all the other parts of the dough.
Serve with homemade hummus or eat them plain. We promise you will like it;)
