We prepare this wonderful plant milk in literally 2 minutes, and it can last up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
We often drink it plain because it tastes sweet and has a rich aroma, but sometimes we add it to various recipes for cakes, smoothies, or pancakes.
Store-bought are also delicious, but they often contain strange ingredients, they are more expensive, and the imprint on nature is bigger because of the packaging.
That’s why we present you how to prepare it yourself at home.
Ingredients:
- 40 g (1,4 oz) oats
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 liter of filtered or spring water
You will need a bag for straining nut milk (nut milk bag), which you can buy in any organic store or use pure cheesecloth.
Directions:
Blend all ingredients for 1 minute and strain the liquid through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth.
Pour into a clean glass bottle or jar with a lid and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Shake before consumption.
